Boys Academy

Boys will learn the fundamental skills associated with lacrosse. We will do drills and fun games!

Our practices are held at Memphis University School (6191 Park Ave). We understand the importance of consistency and convenience for families, which is why we strive to maintain a regular practice schedule throughout the season.

K-3: 5:00-6:00 PM

• Monday, October 20th (Gearhardt Field)
• Monday, October 27th (Gearhardt Field)
• Monday, November 3rd (Rogers Field)
• Monday, November 10th (Rogers Field)
• Monday, November 17th (Rogers Field)

Players need a helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads, mouth guard, and an athletic cup.

Tuesdays and Thursdays: 9/9, 9/11, 9/16, 9/18, 9/23, 9/25, 9/30, 10/2

2030-2031: 5:00-6:00 pm

2032-2034: 6:00-7:00 pm

Each session will be capped at 24 players without exception.

These sessions are open to players of all positions. This will be a heavy focus on intensive skill training.

Expert Coaching: Players will be working directly with Joe Cummings at each session. We prioritize teaching, sportsmanship, and individualized skill development to ensure that every player receives the attention they need to grow.

Comprehensive Training: Player development is the core of our program and differentiates MLA from other programs in Memphis and the Mid-South. From fundamental skills, positional development, and advanced team concepts, our training sessions are designed to cover all aspects of the game. Whether your child is new or intermediate to lacrosse, they will have the opportunity to enhance their abilities and pursue the next level of lacrosse within our development academy.

Character Development: At Memphis Lacrosse Academy, we understand that success extends beyond the field. Through our program, players will learn valuable life skills such as leadership, discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. We aim to cultivate not only great athletes but also outstanding individuals who will thrive in all aspects of life.

Community Engagement: We’re proud to be a part of the vibrant lacrosse community here in Memphis. We strive to promote the sport and create opportunities for all aspiring players regardless of school to get involved and grow their passion for lacrosse.
