What You Can Expect

Expert Coaching: Our coaching staff consists of experienced, passionate individuals who are dedicated to helping players develop their skills, tactical understanding, and love for the game. Coaches prioritize teaching, sportsmanship, and individualized skill development to ensure that every player receives the attention they need to grow.

Comprehensive Training: Player development is the core of our program and differentiates MLA from other programs in Memphis and the Mid-South. From fundamental skills, positional development, and advanced team concepts, our training sessions are designed to cover all aspects of the game. Whether your child is new to club lacrosse or is an experienced club player, they will have the opportunity to enhance their abilities and take their game to the next level in our Development Academy.

Character Development: At Memphis Lacrosse Academy, we understand that success extends beyond the field. Through our program, players will learn valuable life skills such as leadership, discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. We aim to cultivate not only great athletes but also outstanding individuals who will thrive in all aspects of life.

Community Engagement: We’re proud to be a part of the vibrant lacrosse community here in Memphis. We strive to promote the sport and create opportunities for all aspiring players regardless of school to get involved and grow their passion for lacrosse.

Practice Times and Location

Our practices are held at Memphis University School (6191 Park Ave) on three turf fields. We understand the importance of consistency and convenience for families, which is why we strive to maintain a regular practice schedule throughout the season. Times are still to be determined based on rosters and roster sizes. More details will be sent soon. All Club sessions aim to be two hours in length.

Practice Days (10 total training sessions):
Sundays – 9/28, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9

Weekday practices will be added to the schedule in the weeks leading up to each tournament. Days and times will be announced in September.

Tentative Weekday Practices – 11/11, 11/13, 11/18, 11/20

  • Project Midwest Fall Open – November 15th and 16th (St. Louis, MO) – O’Fallon Sports Complex
  • Gobble Gobble Games – November 22nd and 23rd (Emerson, GA near Atlanta) – Lake Point Sports Complex

Girls Fall Club Lacrosse

Format

We believe that competition is essential for growth. For the Fall of 2025, we are offering opportunities for players to compete in state and regional tournaments in the southeast. Girls club teams will participate in the Development Academy each week and attend the tournaments selected below. After evaluation the first week of practice, athletes will receive a club invitation to participate in the club team that coincides with their graduation year.

Practice Times and Location

Girls Club Players will practice with the Development Academy. Our practices are held at May Park (6407 Quince Road, Memphis, TN 38119). We understand the importance of consistency and convenience for families, which is why we strive to maintain a regular practice schedule throughout the fall seasons.

Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30-7:30 pm
(Evaluations for club teams will be held the first week of practice)

Practice Dates: 9/2-11/6
**Winter Saturday sessions will be held at Greenfield 12/6-2/7, with the exception of MLK weekend due to Sandstorm tournament. Timing will be announced later in the fall. There will be a separate registration for the winter sessions coming out in November.
